Meet the Team
Millie Greenwood
Having grown up with horses all my life doing Pony Club, Eventing, Racing and Hunting, I went on and gained an HND and Equine studies business management degree in Ireland. Where I also got the opportunity to work in New Zealand at Windsor Park Stud as part of my years’ work placement. Another qualification I managed to gain was my NVQ Level 3 in horse care and management.
After college, Millie worked for David Christie for 2 years on a racing and point-to-point yard before returning to the UK to work for William Harrison-Allan, Baycliffe Farm for nearly 10 years. During my time at Baycliffe I managed the yard and was involved with the breaking, pre-training and the point-to-pointers. I gained my Head Lass and Assistant Trainers courses held at the British Racing School. Followed by achieving my trainers courses, which I attended the British Racing School and the Northern Racing School.
Abbie Wyatt
Abbie gained her BHS AI and NVQ level 3 qualifications in horse care and management whilst servicing her apprenticeship at Pippin Equestrian Riding School. During her 5 years at Pippin, her duties included teaching riders of all ages and abilities, training NVQ apprentices, yard management and business management. During a 6 month visit to Australia Abbie was able to add to her experience by learning to handling youngstock, working closely with stallions and participate in breaker starts at the Arabian Stud Farm based in Perth. On her return she worked at Baycliffe Farm for the following 4 years. Here she gained a huge amount of her experience in training and breaking of racehorses, regularly backing horses from 2 years old, ensuring racehorses were 80% fit before entering full time training, schooling pointers and also working on the breeding programme of mares going to and from stud. Abbie has a wonderful, caring and experienced approach to horsemanship. She enjoys backing youngsters and producing young horses along with implementing a “fittening” programme for hunters on an individual basis.
